How the tutorials are organised
Each tutorial is a short walkthrough of one job, written for both the web app and mobile. They are grouped by who does the job rather than by which screen it lives on.
Three tracks
- Following cricket
- Live scores and match pages, teams and players, following and notifications, rankings and stats, and search. Start here if you use CrikIQ to watch rather than to run anything.
- Playing and organising
- Creating teams and fixtures, running seasons, managing squads and availability, handling invites and disputes. The track most club secretaries need.
- Match day
- Ball-by-ball scoring, corrections and the audit trail, reduced-overs targets, and streaming overlays. Worth reading before your first scored fixture rather than during it.
A sensible order for a new club
- Create your club and teams — one team per XI, not one per club.
- Add players and link them to member profiles so records attach to real accounts.
- Create a season and set its points system and tie-breakers before the first fixture.
- Generate fixtures for your format.
- Score one match end to end, ideally a friendly, to see standings and player records fill in.
- Add streaming or overlays once the basics are running.
The two steps most often skipped are linking players and setting the points system up front. Both are far more painful to fix mid-season than to get right on day one.
What each tutorial contains
Every guide follows the same shape: what the feature is for, four walkthrough steps with screenshots, the differences between web and mobile where they exist, and the mistakes that generate the most support tickets. They are written in-house by people who use the product on match day — there is no AI-generated filler here.
